Road Rage

Today I saw some major road rage! I drive one way that is about thirty miles away and my commute is from 400 to 285 to Decatur campus. If any of you have ever driven this stretch, you know how frustrating it can be. This car came from the exit into highway traffic and what I assumed as a reasonable speed and merged into traffic. This SUV who was going over 80 MPH at least, was in the second to slowest lane beind this car. He came right up on this car, rode its bumper and proceded to get in front of the car and slam on its brakes! This car tried to to move over TWO lanes, but the SUV kept following, flashing its lights and I could see the guy having a "cow". The other driver did not do anything at all and this guy was about to kill her! It made me stop and think about how I sometimes might be riding someone's tail too. It also made me think about why we think that our time is more important than someone elses and that everyone should get out of our way! I am guilty of this and I admit it...I think we all are. However, today I witnessed not just road rage, but major frustration from everyone on the road! We are all stressed about the commute, the gas prices and the idiots on the road. It's hard to keep composure out there!

I do not like it when someone tailgates me while driving. I try not to be in people's way also. When I am driving very slow, I move to the slow lane, and when I want to speed up, I move to the speed lane. There is 99% chance of bumping into the person you are tailgating if he/she slams on the brakes.

I get angry driving, but then I fear for my life and others when I see something like that going on in front of me. I just want to pick up the offended car and put it to safety so I don't risk damage to my own car haha.

The Problem is 75% of the drivers in georgia don't know how to drive period. You just brought up a example by explaining that scene. The Dmv teachers should be more strict in what these drivers are creating.

Last month my wife saw something like this happen. A man was driving really close to an elderly couple exiting the off ramp and honked and screamed out the window to them to move over. Once he had enough space to go around and pass them he did and while passing them he flicked them off and yelled some four letter words to them. The truck in front of them stoped and he ramed into it. He got what he deserved. I just feel bad for the person he hit.
