International Space Center's Toilet Broken
Did folks hear about this?? Can you imagine NOT being able to go to the bathroom up in Space? Lucky for the astronauts on the space station, there is a "backup" system. *smile*

Sex and the City, Madonna and the Democratic Race
What do they have in common you ask? Well - not much probably - except that they were all part of my exciting weekend! :-)
I was one of hordes of people who bought tickets to Sex and the City and stood in long lines trying to get into the theaters on Friday night. For those of you who have seen the series on HBO, the movie was AWESOME! So if your boyfriend or girlfriend drag you to see the movie, don't fret - there's something for every one in the movie.
After a late night out on Friday, my boyfriend woke me up early this morning (10:00 am... hehe) - so we could both get on our computers and try to book Madonna tickets! Yes sirreee - we're both BIG fans of Madonna - so within 5 minutes we had booked tickets to her November show in Atlanta (I won't tell you how much we paid - but sheesh - these folks make TONS of money on these concerts, no?). Her concert is titled "The Sticky and Sweet Tour" - which is also the title of her new album - which is FAB if you haven't heard it already.
On to the Democratic race - Hillary or Obama - its coming closer to decision time - every day. But today a "rules" committee for the Democratic National Committee held an important meeting where a decision was reached to seat 1/2 of Florida and Michigan's delegates. Florida and Michigan both strayed from the DNC rules by holding their primary elections too early. So the DNC punished them by withholding their delegates. Of course with this TIGHT race in the Democratic party there was uproar on all sides - as FL and MI could very well be the deciding factor in whether Hillary or Obama will become the Democratic nominee.
And Yes - I'm a political junkie! (Thus my major of Poli Sci). Hehe
Hope you all had a good weekend!

Ok guys I have a personal type issue. My and my boyfriend always talk about how we're going to be together forever and in 2 months we're moving in together we picked the house out and everything. But yesterday when we was at the studio all these girls was all around his son smuthering him and everything and he told his son to tell them that they don't get married and something else i don't remember the part about not getting married caught my attention. I don't know if he was playing or not i didn't mention anything about it to him. But i want to get married and if he don't i don't know what to do.

Cricket
This is also my first time on the blog like my few other fellows. So i decided that i should talk about sports. I dont know how many of you know about the cricket game. It is not so popular in the United states. Cricket is one of the most famous game around the world. For some countries its just like a relegion.
Cricket is basically looks like baseball but it is different than baseball. its fun to watch. If some one want to know more about this game he or she can visit www.cricinfo.com
There are couple of formats in the game. They have test cricket which include on five days. I know that sounds boring but its really not. Then they have one day format. Which is more famous than Test cricket. Recently they introduce one new format of this game. It's called Twenty Twenty. It is the short version of the one day cricket. This format has more fun and entertainment. That is one of the reasons that it is getting so popular all over the world.
Big event in the cricket game is world Cup. which held after every 3 years. Almost 16 teams from different countries participate in that event. That is the real world cup. Most popular teams are who participate in the world cup are: Australia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Newzealand, South africa, England, Westindies, Sri lanka, Zimbabwe, Netherland, Canada, Ireland.
People who love baseball i think they will love this game. Because it is very similar to baseball but technically diffrent.

Summer 2008
Well this is the first time I've written a blog so it's new to me. I've been looking forward for this summer because I like to watch the Olympic games. You get to see the greatest athletes on the planet push each other to the limit of human ability. I enjoy watching the weightlifting competitions where the weightlifters lift up 500+ pounds of weight over their head. That's simply amazing. Gymnastic events also leave me astonished at their strength and flexibility. My favorite event is the Track & Field sprint events. Is anybody else looking forward to watching the games? If you had one event to participate in which one would it be?

A new experience
I know my weakness, however, I plan on conquering it this summer. I am not good in English. So this is a new experience, and I plan on having an A in the class. I will have to stay focus but I will CONQUER ENGLISH 1101.
blah boredom
Who doesn't like a little humor? I'm not sure what to write about because nothing really exciting has happened as of late. I'm a little disappointed that a Blog is a requirement. I guess I tend to be somewhat of a snooty-"what is the world coming to?"-type person, but I can understand the underlying reasons since education in technology (and related) is becoming a must. Whatever though, it's cool to learn about people and relate to their thoughts. :)
I suppose I can ramble about nothing important. I'm always behind in the world of fashion. I can have an understanding of it, but I can't partake because I can't afford to all the time and it's frustrating. So today I figured I would try and find some new jeans since the bank account was currently promising, perhaps a new pair of skinny jeans (lol@emo kidz, I know) and I found nothing. I don't know why I was surprised, Boot-cut is making its comeback, I just didn't expect to not find a single pair of skinnys. Especially since they're still being worn heavily by the public. Disappointing, but it's spring so there are plenty of other clothes to make up for it :D ! But this is a pretty lame blog post so I'll just end it, ha.

Atlanta and its lovely traffic
Hi, Everyone. I have to vent for a minute. I live up Ga 400 at Northridge and am attending Decatur campus for two labs (FAR). The schedule worked out better than the Dunwoody campus near my house. It's strange, but I am taking anatomy I lab over even though I passed because I want a better letter grade. I did not like my last lab professor, the one I have now is awesome and fun! I got an "A" in lecture last semester in the class and a "C" in lab and I studied my butt off. It does not help that I work full time and am a trainer at where I work, so I have extra responsibilities. I am also taking anatomy II online and a anatomy II lab at Decatur also. Any of you who want to get into nursing school, I suggest you make mostly "A"s because it is very competitive, thus my taking over my anat lab. Okay I'll get to the point! I had to drive on 285 and I have not in a LONG time. What a disaster and all those tractors trailers.I felt like I needed a drink after..lol..I am sure some of you are not old enough to drink( not that you don't :), but those of us who are can understand! I like that this is called "my freshman year" since I was a senior twice and I am reverberating back to being young again.Sort of......Why I ask myself, do I keep going back to school to get more degrees and torturing myself? Oh yeah, I don't love my current job at all! Have a great day all!

Jacky
Okay, I'm venting again.
I noticed there are several moms in this class, so I figured I would post here since some of you can relate.
We visited my mother-in-law's (MIL) yesterday for dinner. My 2 year old is normally in bed around 8-9 at the latest. After dinner, (around 7:45) we were having dessert. My son had like 2 bites of mine, and that was going to be it. I specifically said it was too close to bedtime and I wanted him to be able to go to bed when we got home. We only live 10 mins away. Well, I'm putting the baby in his carseat, packing up the diaper bag, and go into the kitchen to find MIL feeding Aidan a HUGE portion of brownie! She looks at me sheepishly and says "he kept saying cookie. He was so cute I just had to give him some". OMG. To keep the peace, I just look at her, and say "well, you can't always give in to the kids. They don't know whats best for them". We pack up the car and leave. Now, my son gets a high sugar rush from any form of sweets. He's hyper as it is.
He doesn't go to bed until 11:30! I kept putting him to bed over and over and he would just get out and scream bloody murder. I know it's because he was over-tired. We finally got him to sleep by cuddling with him on the couch in the dark watching Caillou.
I'm laying in bed, about to fall asleep... the baby wakes up. The baby is up until 4AM. I get back in bed... Aidan wakes up. He had a bad dream. Or as he says "scary". He crawls into bed with me, I fall asleep for about 30 min... the baby wakes up again. My husband, through out all of this, is sleeping the sleep of the dead.
You do not even know how many times I tried to wake him up, but he has always been like that. Seriously, a train could be coming through the house and he would still sleep.
By the time I get the baby back to sleep, Aidan is up for the day, and my alarm is going off.
I've written my history paper while Aidan watches his normal 30 minute morning cartoon, and I can hear the baby stirring.
My husband won't be up for another 2 hours, I know, and when he does get up, he is watching both kids while I sleep. Oh! And I'm making him do laundry. If he doesn't do it, he'll face the wrath of an over-tired, over-worked mom and he will pay! lol...
Yeah. I've gotten 30 minutes of sleep and have a massive headache, but I just wanted to vent.

Exercise
Alright, I figured I would give some info on my new exercise equipment. It's called, "Wii Fit". I'm sure everyone has seen the commercials of the Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit. I have been playing videogames for many years, went to tournaments and played until four, five, six in the morning. What I've realized is that I would either play alone or with friends. Playstation 2, Xbox, etc, etc, etc. My mom and Dad were not interested in the Metal Gear Solids, or Final Fantasy, or Marvel vs Capcom 2. Until the Wii came along......
Just this past weekend, I ended up getting my Mom, Dad, and little sister onto the Wii Fit. The Wii Fit is pretty much a scale, that tests your balance, weighs you, tests your srtength, and burns MANY calories! The games include yoga, push ups, areobics, soccer, boxing, skiing, stepping, and many more! So far, after three days on the scale, I ended up gaining .7 pounds. Maybe I'm gaining more muscle? I guess I better not get my hopes up! You set a goal for either 2 weeks or 1 month. There are more lengths, but I was so in a rush to see progress now! At the moment, I am 5"8 , 143lbs and I am working on 2 week goals! I wonder how long it will be until I give up! Motivation is NOT easy for me! =D

Hi I'm Melissa and I've never written a blog before so I'm not quite sure what you are supposed to talk about but, by reading everyone else's, it looks like I just talk about anything I want I guess. So I suppose I will tell you all about my move to Wyoming.
I am actually moving tomorrow so I am not moved yet but it is VERY close. I just found out that I am moving last Thursday, so i have been rushing around trying to get things done. I am moving out there with my sister who had lived out there last summer and this past winter. she recently came home for a few months to visit with the family a little. But tomorrow we are both headed west to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I'm not really sure what is in store for me out there yet but whatever it is I hope it is life changing. I am coming back sometime at the beginning of August because I am transferring schools down to Georgia College and State University so I am hoping to have a totally different outlook on life by then, turn my life around and grow up some so I will be able to make it by myself when I am on my own at school.

Today
So far my day ahs been extra long. I have to work from 6-11 with a manager i can't stand, w all have those types of managers. Besides that my aunt told me today she may be getting rid of my sisters dog. I asked her a while ago if my puppy could come live with us and she told me no and he step son told his dad about our conversation. next thing i know his dad cam to me saying i'm sneaky and he don't want no other animals. But today my aunt tells me he told his son he will get him a dog if we get rid of my sisters dog. You guys tell me who is sneaky.
Hello...Good Morning!
My name is Jacky and today has not started out all that great already. I had someone try and steal money from my checking account on Thurday of last week. The bank was diligent enough to put a stop payment on this transaction. I also check my account every day, so this how I discovered something was awry, when I could not log into my account. I am still currently waiting for a new check card etc and it will be forever because of the holiday weekend. I have not had access to my money since then either. The case is still under fraud investigation and I am FRUSTRATED. I had to open all new accounts and I had to flag all my credit cards. I wish that there were not so many dishonest people in this world! Also, I had to talk to a fraud investigator because they also flag your credit bureaus for suspicious activities. They have told me to be on the lookout for Emails that appear just as the logo and seem very legitimate. I bank with wachovia and they say this is how they "fish" into your account. This was not my case, but I am warning that if you ever see emails from your bank NEVER open them, they usually also contain viruses too that are left on your computer for their future stealing and disruption of your important files and money. There is almost none of my friends that fraud has not affected! Its good to run a manual scan on your computer for peace of mind! This is my warning to all that this can happen to you and to be careful!
School for me starts Wednesday. I have two labs and three online classes. I actually chose a campus that is farther away because of the way the schedule went and the teachers, so more gas to burn! I know I am getting old because I watch gas prices and the weather everyday! I am only thirty-four! Here is an image of my labrador when he had tail surgery and had to wear the lampshade! Man did he knock stuff over! He brightens my otherwise stressful day just looking at that picture... Have a great day all!

Memorial day experience
Today is the first time since I have been in United States that I really had fun on memorial day - BBQ and going to the park. My kids (3year old daughter and 2 year old son) had so much fun that they did not want to leave the park. The whole idea of going to the park was for them to play until they are tired so that when we get home, they will go to bed immediately.
Unfortunately for me, these kids are still awake, making noise while I am studying. I do not understand why they are not tired after playing so much. They do not want to go to sleep and what they want is for me to stay with them so that they can sleep. I do not have time to do that at the moment because I have a lot of things to do. I have chased them to their room so many times but they come out each time to report one thing or the other. This is one of their tactics when they do not want to go to bed.
Watching the kids play at the park is very stressful especially if you are with two kids. You have to make sure they are within sight every moment. My husband came to the park late so I was with the kids most of the time. I am very very tired at the moment but mom has a thousand and one things to do, so going to bed is out of the question now.

My Sunday "Off"
Since we can talk about anything, I'd like to vent about my day today.
It is supposed to be my day "off" from being a wife and mother (yeah, right). My husband assured me I'd get to sleep in, relax, and just have a lazy day.
It is 3:30PM now. My husband's idea of letting me sleep in consisted of him waking me up to find things, and then when he couldn't find them, I ended up just getting up and getting them. I go back to bed, and wake up a short time later to a loud noise.
My 2 year old was in the kitchen and had knocked over the broom, dumped a pound of sugar in the floor, and pulled open the refrigerator. I have yet to clean up the sugar, because my 3 month old woke up and needed to be fed. I'm sitting here, feeding him and typing with one hand.
My list of things to do today just keeps getting longer. There is laundry, dishes to be washed, floors to be swept and vaccumed and more general house cleaning. The grass needs to be mowed.
Where is my husband, you ask? He is asleep in our son's bed. I am plotting his next day "off" now. There will be justice!
