Unbelievable

A woman said to be 70 years of age has given birth to twins in India's northern Uttar Pradesh state after taking IVF treatment. Omkari Panwar has no birth certificate but if her age is proven it would make her the world's oldest mother.
The twins, a boy and girl both weighing 2lbs, were delivered one month early by Caesarian section. The couple were so desperate for a male heir that they spent their life savings and took out a bank loan for IVF. Now, we are very grateful to God, who has answered our prayers
Charam Singh, father of twins Omkari Panwar already has two daughters and is a grandmother to five children. "We already have two girls but we wanted a boy so that he could have taken care of our property. This boy and girl are God's greatest gift to us," Omkari said.
Father of the twins, Charam Singh, a farmer in his mid-70s, told ABC News he was very happy.
"The desire for a male child has always been there, but God did not bless us with a male child. Now, we are very grateful to God, who has answered our prayers," he said. Doctors said the twins were doing fine. Omkari maintains she was nine years old when the British left India in 1947, which would make her 70. In December 2006, a 67-year-old Spanish woman gave birth to twins in Barcelona. A woman said to be 65 gave birth to a boy in India's eastern Orissa state in 2003.

Can anyone believe that at the age of 70 any women can give a birth?

MOving!!!

So I make the big move back to Georgia in exactly 2 weeks! Geez I am scared! I haven't lived lived there in almost 3 years!! I am excited though! A new beginning and all that jazz. I will be moving to Athens to live with two of my best friends and we are getting a puppy! Who I want to call Baboon! We will see on that one. I have not even began to start packing yet. My mom calls me once a day to see where I am on that. I just say, "Oh it's going fine." It is just such a hassle! I forget what it's like to jump in your car at the start of the day instead of walking down the block or hopping on the subway. It will most definately be a change, hopefully for the better! I am totally siked though to be a part of a new experience. Everyone needs a change every once in a while right?

Trouble in Paradise

My brother got married almost 3 months ago to a girl that he has dated for years. Everything was great in their relationship until now. My new sister in law tells me that he has completely changed since they have gotten married, which really confuses me. I can not see a difference in him, but I am not his wife. Why is it that so many times everything is great in a relationship then after the marriage everything falls apart? This scares me because I have dated this great guy for 2 years, we live together and have a very loving relationship. I am worried that he may change after marriage. I am heart broken for my brother and his wife because I have seen how much they really love each other. Now after only 3 months of marriage they are considering divorce. Hopefully this is only a phase and they will become stronger together for going through it, but what are your thoughts on this. What do you believe is a reasonable amount of time to date someone before marriage? What do you think is a reasonable age to get married? Why do you think marriage puts such a strain on a relationship?

a shared life

so foolish
how could she not see
how could she not feel him drifting away
over and over she'd try
over and over she'd call me to cry
late night mystery conversations
coming in late
ignoring calls
not even a kiss when he saw her face
i hate to see her cry
it makes me sick to watch her pain
what can a friend do
for another
when the other doesn't want to be rescused
as frustrating as this may be
it's out of my hands
out of my power
i can't make her walk away
and i can't make him love her
i just hope she's not pregnant
for the baby is not his
she slipped up
didn't use protection
now theres a chance she'll be having another mans kid
to much confusion
to much on my mind
this is my best friend
we have a connection
been thru it all
her pain is my pain
her tears as well are mine
our misery we share
the situation might say she
but reality is....
it's mine.

I was just thinking about going to six flags and then I saw this....

This story is tragic and it should of never happened! I wish people would think before they do things..

A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park, authorities said.

Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, scaled two 6-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.

Authorities were investigating reports from witnesses who said the teenager jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost while riding the Batman roller coaster, said Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce. Three security guards were keeping visitors away from the ride on Saturday.

Police said the ride was going full-speed when the teen was struck. The ride's top speed is 50 mph, according to the Six Flags Web site.

No one riding on the roller coaster was injured, Sheth said. The teen's friend also entered the restricted area but was not injured, Pierce said.

The teen and his parents were at the park with a group from the Oakey Spring Baptist Church near Springfield, South Carolina, police said.

In June 2007, a teenager's legs were severed when cables snapped on the Superman Tower of Power ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky. Doctors were able to reattach Kaitlyn Lasitter's right foot, but she had to have some of her left leg amputated and subsequent surgeries.

State officials blame a faulty cable and slow response by an amusement park ride operator in the accident. Her family is suing Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, claiming the park failed to maintain the ride and equipment and ensure riders' safety. The amusement park has denied liability in court filings.

A Trip + School + Kids = Stress.

It's 2AM, and I'm still awake.

I'm doing some laundry (the laundry never ends, ever). I'm also working on schoolwork, trying to get ahead so I have less to worry about this week.

Why?

It's our Misssouri trip. Our flight leaves at 10AM Wednesday morning, and I'm nervous. I keep coming up with new things to worry about. I wasn't able to get a double stroller, so I'm trying to figure out ways to keep track of a very active 2 year while carrying a 4 month old, 2 carseats (one of which is very heavy) and our carry on luggage. Not to mention, I'm trying to figure out all the rules at the airport regarding formula and bottles... I would hate to have a can of formula in my carry-on bag and them tell me to throw it away. I've also been told my 4 month old has to be eating a bottle during take-off and while landing.

Also going on this week-- a ton of Spanish HW with 3 Spanish Quizzes, the informative essay for this class, my mid-term history exam due the day after I get back, 3 hours worth of lectures for my history class, a written assignment for my pyschology class, and last but not least, a test for pyschology 2 days after I get back.

Of course, I'm taking all my school work with me and have every intention of studying and writing my essay while I am there. My father-in-law is a professor; I'm sure he'll have the programs I need. If not... well... he's rich, and so he would probably just buy them for my visit anyway, lol. He's great like that.

I have so much packing to do tomorrow. I tried to get started on it tonight, but of course our a/c decided to quit working for a couple of hours (too hot to run dryer), and so by the time it was fixed, I was working on schoolwork, then had to feed the kids and put them to bed. I do have almost all of the needed clothes washed for the baby though, so thats a start. I'm hoping my mother-in-law will watch the kids for a few hours while we pack. She's taking my sister-in-law to the airport, so she should do this favor for us.

That reminds me-- I'd like to rant about my sister-in-law. We planned this trip a month ago. She hears about it about a week or 2 ago and decides she has to come. She calls and asks us when the flight is scheduled for, and we told her 10AM. She says "Okay, there are still open spots on that flight, so I'll get tickets for it". (She has a 1 year old son coming too). Does she do that though? No, she says "going to the airport at 8AM is early" so she books a 3:00PM flight, which means we have to wait around at the St. Louis airport for 4 hours so that my father-in-law doesn't have to make 2 trips, since his house is around 2 hours away from the airport, so it would be kind of silly to make 2 trips. I swear, she is soooo selfish. Doesn't think about anyone but herself. I have a lot more to rant on about her, but it would take too long. I don't like any of my in-laws except for my father-in-law, and he and my mother-in-law are divorced (smart man).

Well, thats my long post for the week, and I'll keep you guys updated and let you know how my trip goes.
